Terms
The Circle Charleston is published for readers interested in houses, habitat, and the wildlife that shares the Lowcountry’s building stock.
What the journal is
The content of every issue and page is informational. It describes conditions, methods, and public guidance as they stood when an issue was written, and it is no substitute for site-specific inspection, assessment, or treatment. Nothing published here is professional advice for a particular property, and nothing here creates an obligation on the part of anyone named in an issue.
No warranties
The journal is provided as found, without warranty of any kind as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Building conditions, regulations, and wildlife guidance change; an issue does not change with them unless its archive entry says otherwise.
References
Outbound links are given as sources for what an issue says, in the manner of a journal’s citations. A link is an acknowledgment of a source’s usefulness on a point, not a certification of any business.
Use of the issues
Quoting short passages, with a link to the issue on this site, is fine. Republishing an issue in full elsewhere is not permitted. The journal remains the property of its publisher, and the archive is the record of the journal.
